1
Can physiotherapy help avoid surgery?
Surgeries are recommended because of severe or progressive neurological deficits or when the painful episodes keep repeating. But with our evidence-based assessments and comprehensive treatment plans that are customized according to the needs and requirements of every patient, we help omit the need for surgery. Physiotherapy at ABTP can often help manage pain, improve movement, and restore function, reducing the need for surgery in many cases.
2
Can physiotherapy help with back pain?
Yes. Physiotherapy at ABTP is often one of the most effective non-surgical approaches for managing back pain, including many disc-related conditions. Through a combination of targeted exercises, manual therapy, posture correction, and movement retraining, physiotherapy helps strengthen the core and back muscles, improve flexibility, reduce pressure on irritated nerves, and restore normal movement patterns.
At ABTP, our evidence-based assessments and personalized treatment plans have helped many patients reduce pain, improve function, and return to their daily activities with greater confidence.
3
How long does physiotherapy take after joint replacement surgery?
After a joint replacement surgery, physiotherapy mainly continues for 12 to 24 weeks. The structured physiotherapy approach followed at ABTP may also take a longer period depending upon the patient's recovery progress. Most patients start gentle movement exercises within a day after surgery, progress to more active rehabilitation over the following weeks, and continue strengthening and mobility exercises until they regain near-normal function. Sometimes, complete regain of strength may take up to a year depending upon the joint involved and the patient's overall health.
4
Can physiotherapy help with arthritis?
Physiotherapy at ABTP is one of the most effective approaches for managing arthritis and improving quality of life. Through advanced biomechanical assessments and evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, our experts identify movement limitations and create personalized treatment plans to address them. Our goal is to reduce pain, improve range of motion, minimize joint stiffness, and enhance overall function without the risks often associated with long-term medication use or surgery. Regular, guided exercise and targeted therapy also play a crucial role in slowing joint deterioration, preserving mobility, and helping individuals maintain an active and independent lifestyle for years to come.
5
How does advanced physiotherapy help in Stroke Recovery??
Advanced physiotherapy at ABTP plays a critical role in stroke recovery by helping patients regain movement, strength, and independence through targeted, evidence-based techniques. We prefer retraining the brain to form new neural connections after injury. Our focus remains to improve motor control, balance, and coordination more effectively than conventional methods alone. Early initiation of physiotherapy, ideally soon after the stroke is medically stable, significantly improves outcomes by maximizing the brain's natural recovery window, reducing complications like muscle stiffness or contractures, and helping patients regain functional independence in daily activities such as walking, dressing, and self-care.
